Working at The Tyler Place

Tucked away in rural Vermont on Lake Champlain, our guest families have returned summer after summer (since 1933!) to enjoy the unique experience that is The Tyler Place … time together having adventures as a family, and time together as a couple (all the while knowing your children are off with their counselors and friends having the time of their lives!). Our guests often return for years, coming the same week, staying in the same accommodation and reconnecting with the friends they’ve made during their initial stay.

Our staff are integral to the success of the resort.  They are hardworking, friendly, motivated, enthusiastic, provide the best service possible and create relationships and experiences with the guests that contributes to that special spirit of the place and keeps guests returning year after year.

Hands down, working at The Tyler Place will be one of the best summer jobs you’ll ever have.  Not only will it be a great work experience and an opportunity to learn new skills, add to your resume, make and save money, etc., but we guarantee that you’ll make friends and memories that last a lifetime and experience a summer you’ll never forget!

Staff Positions

“I really enjoyed working there this past summer. I enjoyed the experiences with the kids and the staff. It was a very welcoming environment and I feel that I gained a lot of knowledge for my future in just one summer.”

Halayna, Vermont - Staff Since 2021
“This year I was finally able to experience by myself everything that makes this place so wonderful. Like how beautiful the lake and forest are, as well as the amazing installations and all the fun activities you can carry out there, in addition to the comfortable accommodations and delicious food. But by far, what captivated me the most was the working environment and how much you appreciate and care for you staff, as well as all the great friends I made while working side by side with people from all over the world. Overall, I had the best summer of my l life thanks to Tyler Place.”
Ricardo, Mexico - Staff Since 2021

“I’ve spent every summer of my life living next to Tyler Place, hearing campers singing and seeing the parents’ helpers walking around the loop with babies in their strollers. I’ve also worked there for 3 summers now and have really enjoyed each experience. I love being able to make connections with guests and see campers I’ve had in previous years. I loved being a parents’ helper and getting to know one child during the week; taking care of them was really rewarding.”

Kathleen, Vermont - Staff Since 2019
