Provides efficient and professional dining service, including taking drink and cocktail orders, serving beverages, clearing dishes, bussing tables, executing side duties (such as folding napkins, filling salt & pepper shakers, cleaning service areas, etc.), attending staff meetings and occasionally hosting. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, good sense of humor and team spirit! We have a very busy dining room, so you must be quick, hard-working, pay attention to detail and have lots of energy and enthusiasm. Previous restaurant experience preferred.
Oversees all operations of the dining room, including: training and scheduling of approximately 14 staff; hosting; maintaining all equipment and supplies; conducting weekly staff meetings; planning special events; supervising daily duties; coordinating daily routines and/or special events with kitchen and entertainment departments and handling daily staff concerns and questions. Must have previous experience working in The Tyler Place Dining Room, knowledge of the Bar and Kitchen operations, excellent communication, leadership and organization skills, an eye for detail and the ability to gracefully do a hundred things at once without appearing frantic!
