Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and have ability to solve problems and make sometimes disgruntled guests happy.  Knowledge of The Tyler Place and surrounding area is helpful (must be willing and able to learn all the myriad information necessary to effectively deal with guests and answer all their questions). Flexibility with your work schedule, including weekends, is important.  Must be organized and resourceful and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities include assisting guests with questions and requests; updating the bulletin board and posting daily sign-up sheets for activities; handling guests/staff complaints and relaying these to appropriate department heads and/or managers; handling emergencies; filling requests for babysitters and massage sessions; and keeping the front desk, lobby, and lounge areas neat and tidy. Other duties include preparing welcome packets for incoming families; making copies for front desk and other departments; answering telephones; taking inquiries; transferring calls; and assisting managers with various paperwork and projects.

The Night Auditor works from 11 PM until 7 AM and serves as the manager-on-duty throughout the night, remaining alert and available to respond to guest needs and any unexpected circumstances that may arise. Primary responsibilities also include, but are not limited to: organizing and entering the day’s guest charges into our billing software; identifying errors and communicating with department heads to reconcile discrepancies; preparing weekly reports and guest invoices; assisting the financial manager and front desk manager with a variety of weekly and ongoing projects; performing security rounds at the Inn and brewing that first pot of coffee to start the day off right! The successful candidate will also have strong communication skills and will report the events of the night in writing, preparing the day staff to seamlessly provide our guests with the exceptional and personal level of service that is our hallmark.
