Leaders, fun-creators, role models and all-round superheroes, our counselors work with groups of children ranging from 30 months to 15 years old in a dynamic summer recreation program. They build relationships with our young guests, facilitate a wide range of activities and foster a safe, organized and inclusive ‘camp’ culture. Must have previous experience in a similar setting, a solid work ethic, friendly, caring nature and lots of patience, energy and initiative.  Applicants need to have completed at least one year of college/university, be confident swimmers, and have CPR/First Aid certification (we can provide during orientation).

Our parents’ helpers care for our youngest guests (from newborns to 2 ½-year-olds).  They work with one family for their entire stay and are responsible for providing a safe, nurturing and clean environment, maintaining a positive and professional relationship with parents, and participating with the child in developmentally appropriate activities and play (both on their own and in an organized program). Parents’ Helpers must have previous experience working with this age group, love working with young children and be safety conscious, patient, compassionate and reliable. Must have current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification.

Program Directors are senior supervisory staff within the Children’s Program. All Program Directors are responsible for training, supervising, evaluating and working with college-aged counselors to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the activity programs for the age group they are responsible for.  Program Directors engage in planning, set-up and monitoring of activities and are responsible for maintaining clean and safe facilities/environment, maintaining a positive and professional relationship with parents and communicating regularly with management. Program Directors should have considerable knowledge and understanding of childhood development, be effective leaders, expert communicators, love working with children, and be organized, dependable, responsible, energetic and resourceful. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a similar setting.  Must have current CPR/First Aid Certification. 

There are three different types of Program Directors:

Playhouse Director: Oversees program for 2.5 to 4 year-olds

Clubhouse Director: Oversees program for 4 to 9 year-olds

Inn Director: Oversees program for 9 to 16 year-olds
