Kids, teens, parents, and travel writers continuously give The Tyler Place Family all-inclusive resort excellent reviews on our teen and children programs and activities. Dedicated counselors from around the world, state of the art facilities and equipment, tricycles or bikes of their very own, time with friends and family and the opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside of Vermont all come together in a unique experience for your children to learn and grow – The Tyler Place Family Resort has it all.
Kids’ Camp
All aboard for hands-on activities and field trips
Hands-on activities are the core of our summer programs. The children’s camp is comprised of group activities such as bike rides, field trips, hikes through the wilderness, swimming at the lake, indoor or outdoor pools and local Vermont swimming holes. They can test their skills at rock climbing, jumping on trampolines and classic lawn games. In addition to tubing and paddleboarding, some of the kid’s favorite waterfront activities.
Up for a scavenger hunt? Wander and wonder, there is no shortage of land for children to explore with 165 acres of forest, field, and trails as well as one full mile of private shorefront. The evening is the perfect setting for organized campfires and cookouts for kids. The stars and night activity becomes more interesting than Instagram and Facebook as the handheld falls to the wayside and your children immerse themselves in the nature around them.
Bring on the group activities
Kids will laugh, learn & grow at The Tyler Place
Camp for children at The Tyler Place means that everyone is accepted and included. Young athletes, artists, bakers, magicians, actresses, swimmers and dancers: unite! Our counselors are skilled at ice breaker games, encouraging teamwork and respect for one another. At the Tyler Place, we honor each child’s needs and unique personality.
If swimming or other activities are not yet one of your child’s skills, counselors offer continuous support, our lifeguards are highly trained and lessons are available. With its own unique alchemy that inspires confidence, happiness, independence and the will to learn something new, The Tyler Place has been the backdrop for many “firsts” over our eight decades. We pride ourselves on sending home new swimmers, bikers, hikers, and adventurers. It’s what a classic summer vacation is all about.
We make the most of our Vermont setting
to offer the best possible camp for kids and parents alike
At the Tyler Place, children and parents will create life long friendships year after year. When the kids are well taken care of, time for you follows. Each morning and afternoon, older kids head off for their next group adventure and our team of morning and evening Parent Helpers make vacations with even the littlest ones simple and easy, which gives you more time to enjoy your relaxing Vermont summer vacation.
“The Tyler Place honestly feels like home as soon as you step foot on property. The quaint and relaxing atmosphere brings a week of peace, fun and excitement. The food gets better every time, the activities keep you feeling young, the group counselors are exceptional with children, making you feel comfort in knowing your kids are well taken care of. But most importantly, the staff is incredible. They truly treat you like family and might throw a little friendly banter your way if you can handle it. We truly love TP!”
“Every day at pick up, our son asked “We come back tomorrow?!” He had the time of his life, loved his counselors and new friends, and was happy to go to his group every day. All meals were high quality and delicious! All the staff were lovely and made our stay a joy!”
“Tyler Place is just magical! Our kids NEVER go to ‘camp’ or kids activities when we are on vacation. At TP, they were hesitant at first, but with amazing counselors and activities, they settled right in! Having our own bikes was so much fun and seeing them in camp as we rode by was fun and helped them feel safe. They knew we were nearby and that helped. We got to rest and do adult activities while the kids were well taken care of. We’re so happy to be part of TP.”
