From September 3rd to 10th: Short 3 or 4-day stays… or a whole week of fun for adults

The Tyler Place is just as much fun for adults as kids—and in September when schools are back in session we are able to feature even more all-inclusive activities and sports designed for grown ups of all ages and skills.  This is in addition to our all-adult dining, cozy bar/lounge/lawn with both low-key and livelier group evening activities that highlight the special informality, joy and friendliness the TP offers.

Included in Your All-Inclusive Package Rate

Your Cottage or Suite with one to five bedrooms so you can share with friends and family—or enjoy your own space. Many with living rooms, porches, and kitchenettes. Daily housekeeping is included, and a number of cottages have a fireplace stocked with kindling and firewood. (There is good wifi throughout the property)

All 3 Meals daily are included in your stay, and our adult-only dining areas (indoor and outdoor) allow you to enjoy a relaxing dinner for two or a lively gathering with friends. Fresh, simple meals with an emphasis on Vermont’s harvest season. (Children have their own dining rooms, and the Sun Porch is set aside for family breakfasts and lunches.)

Adult Sports & Activities & Personal Bikes for Everyone – The Tyler Place is filled with an exceptionally wide range of adult activities and sports for all skill levels and interests such as Tennis and Pickleball, Climbing Wall, Ropes Course, Disc Golf Course, Basketball, Horseshoes, Badminton, Volleyball, Bocce, Croquet, Running Trails, Birdwatching.

Waterfront Activities – Plentiful, high-quality lake and water sports and equipment with no ticking clock to count hours or dollars, you can sail, windsurf, canoe, kayak, paddle board and much more to your heart’s and muscles’ content.

Heated Indoor & Outdoor Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs – Designed for all-weather fun, the Pool Complex features both indoor and outdoor heated pools as well as two outdoor hot tubs. Enjoy a brisk early morning lap swim or a guided Aqua Aerobics session to get your heart rate up!

Biking Trips for all levels cycle along the shores of Lake Champlains; through the farmlands of backcountry Vermont during harvest season; half-day rides or extend with picnics and local take-outs at farm stands.

Yoga, Water Aerobics, Fitness – classes for all levels…and Fitness Center – Choose from a wide variety of all-inclusive fitness and relaxation options. Or visit our well-equipped Fitness Center or all-weather Fieldhouse Gym which includes indoor volleyball and basketball.

Arts & Crafts – the Arts & Crafts Studio is tailored to the interests of attendees. Possible activities include such activities as paper mache, beading & jewelry making, collage work, tie dying, sculpture, glass etching and woodworking, and drawing and block printing.

The Burlington Brews Scene & Tour – a taste tour of some of Vermont’s most famed breweries along with visits to Burlinton’s scenic Waterfront with a picnic at Oakledge Park.

Bird Watching – on our 165-acres of meadows and woods along our mile of private lakeshore and at our nearby 700-acre Proper Pond wildlife property.

Hiking & Walking Trips – from hard to easy – enjoy a steep climb to the top of Jay Peak…or a nature hike around the property or at Proper Pond,. The Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge trails are a short drive away.

Tennis, PickleBall, Corn Hole, Bocce, Volleyball & Dart Tournaments – whether high energy games are your thing, or low, you can get the competitive juices flowing with one of our adult tournaments. Or feel free to create your own tourney if disc golf, hobie sailing, or any other activity is calling you.

Bonfires & Fire Pits, Music & Evening Entertainmentmusic, dancing, and games on the Inn Lawn, at the Lounge & Bar.

Road Biking in a class of its ownNorthwestern Vermont has some of the best road riding in the state, showcasing bucolic Vermont scenery and peaceful rural roads. You do have to bring or rent your own bike, but we’ve mapped out 29 of our favorite rides, available for beginners through experts, from level to hilly terrain, with 10 to 92-mile loops.

Fishing – serious fishing enthusiasts are happy to find some of the best fishing for Small and Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike in the country right here. No charge for boats, but there is a nominal charge for motors. (The oars are on us; the gas is on you.) You can purchase Vermont fishing licenses at Martin’s Store right near the Tyler Place. (We can arrange for a fishing guide as well.)

Peaceful Pastimes & Outdoor Spaces – – curl up in a hammock with a book or take a walk with a picnic along our mile of private lakeshore bordered by 165 acres of nature and bike trails, meadows, woods, lawns, and gardens.

Massage Services – Nothing says true R&R like a massage or spa treatment…especially at reasonable prices.Our professional massage therapists are here to serve you, offering a variety of different spa services from Swedish massage, hot stone massage, reiki, and reflexology to pregnancy massage or myofascial release therapy.

Cocktails, Wines & Brews – The Lounge is a great place to meet new friends–or you can always have your drinks as a twosome out on the Lakeview Deck, Screened Porch or our spacious Inn lawn where you can sit around one of our fire pits enjoying cocktails, playing lawn games and often live music during cocktail hour. Inclusive adult evening activities every night, varying from a Welcoming Cocktail Party to Jazz Night, DJ night, Trivia, Games and more.

Also at extra charge: gas-powered water sports (waterskiing, wakeboarding and tubing); private tennis lessons; personal mountain bikes. We have a 10% service charge and tipping.

A Note for Multi-Generational Families with Children

Even though many children are back in school, we continue our programs for children through this week as well. All the normal elements and activities of our award-winning programs are still available, so it makes a great vacation for multigenerational or friends’ groups, allowing those with kids to cut loose just as freely as the others in their party, while knowing their children are having a blast themselves.
