Bike Shop

As a Bike Shop employee, the most important part of your job is to make sure every bike (and any/all attachments) is safely and properly maintained for all our guests (adults and kids). We work on anything from old-style beach cruisers, to training wheel bikes for the kids and mountain bikes for the adults. Additional duties include maintenance and upkeep of the adjacent minigolf course, outdoor sports area, and the Field House – our large indoor recreation center. You’ll also be responsible for handing out sports equipment such as basketballs, volleyballs, tennis and badminton racquets, archery equipment, etc. Additionally, you will also be responsible for assisting with various maintenance duties throughout the day – such as washing vehicles, splitting and delivering wood, picking up garbage from staff housing, helping the groundskeepers and entertainment staff, etc. Much of your day will be spent communicating with the guests, and it’s essential to have a positive attitude and be friendly, helpful, and patient at all times.

Groundskeeper

Responsible for the general beautification of the lawns and grounds surrounding the resort, as well as general upkeep of resort facilities.  Responsibilities include lawn mowing, weed whacking, general landscaping, tree trimming, mulching, and equipment maintenance and repair.  Also responsible for miscellaneous maintenance jobs under the supervision of the Maintenance Director. Prior Landscaping experience is a must and additional trade skills such as carpentry, masonry or plumbing is extremely helpful. Must have general knowledge of basic building and construction practices and experience using power tools and other various machinery.

Security

Responsible for the security of the resort and its guests and staff during the evening hours (generally from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.).  Duties include turning off lights, locking up facilities, covering the pools, light maintenance duties, and cruising the property by car, bike or on foot to keep an eye on things.  Should have very good communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations with tact, calmness, speed and common sense.   Must have valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and certification in CPR and First Aid (we can provide this).

Assistant Gardener

Responsibilities include early spring bed preparation, care of perennials, helping to plan and plant window boxes, daily maintenance of all beds and window boxes, watering and mulching.  Also includes gardening projects and assistance with gardening/nature program for children and adults.  Requires a driver’s license for driving a golf cart.
