Counselor

Counselors are responsible for the facilitation, organization and participation in a wide range of day and nighttime activities for children ages 2 to 15.  Activities can include swimming, boating (kayaks, canoes, speed boats), hiking, biking, arts and crafts, rock climbing, sports, lawn games, and much more! Must love working with kids and be willing to make a positive impact on our world-renowned children’s program. Our counselors are energetic, organized, and enthusiastic. This is a great position for anyone who wants to work with children as a career (teachers, guidance counselors, youth workers, etc). A typical day for a counselor begins at 8:30am. You meet with your group, have breakfast, and then the rest of the morning is spent engaging in a number of activities throughout the resort. There is a break in the day from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. During this time children are free to run around the resort with their families at their own leisure. Counselors have full, free use of all resort facilities during this time (and all subsequent time off). Camp resumes from 5:30pm to about 8:30pm. At the end of the evening children go back with their parents. Counselors are not required to look after children once camp ends each day and any counselors who live on the property have their own housing separate from the kids.

Parents’ Helper

Parent Helpers are caregivers who work with one guest family for their entire stay and provide outstanding 1:1 care, both in accommodations and throughout our facilities, for their young children (newborns to 2.5 yrs). Parent Helpers participate with the child in organized activities and communicate regularly with parents. Must be safety conscious, patient and love young children; have previous experience working with this age-group, and have knowledge of basic child development and activities geared towards this age group. Parent Helpers must also be caring, comforting, creative, friendly, and energetic. Job assignments are Saturday through Saturday (7 days), and assigned weekly based on availability. For this reason, reliability and flexibility throughout the summer months are crucial for any successful candidate.
