Adult Activities Leader

The Adult Activities Leaders are the assistants to the Entertainment Director and responsible for running the bulk of the Entertainment events, which include evening bar events, climbing wall, weekly softball, triathlon, tennis turnabouts, off-property bike, canoe and kayak trips, and a variety of other activities relating to the adult guest experience. Entertainment staff candidates should be independent, self-sufficient, responsible, and have impeccable guest relations skills that are engaged round the clock. Anyone in the Entertainment Department must be very outgoing and easy with people and dedicated to making sure that the guests have a fun, relaxing and memorable vacation. They should be confident in leading large groups of adults on activities and infectious in their commitment to encouraging participation. They should have good communication skills and be great at introducing guests to each other. They should naturally be aware of different guest’s needs and very flexible and clever in creating and providing appropriate entertainment for them. Should be well read, inquisitive and up to date on popular games, classic games and current trends in sports and culture so you can empathize and mingle with our guest’s generation (30’s and up). You should have the confidence to stand up in front of a group of strangers and get them organized, make announcements or start a game. A current driver’s license is necessary, the ability to drive a variety of vehicles and the skills to safely use a trailer are also helpful. Additional skills such as a proficiency in biking, mountaineering, tennis, and overall fitness is a plus. Most importantly you must be confident in yourself and comfortable dealing with people of all ages in a gracious, humorous and genuine manner.

Tennis Pro

The Tennis Pro will be primarily responsible for teaching a combination of private and group tennis lessons, as well as managing our weekly adult guest tennis tournaments. The Tennis Pro will also be responsible in assisting with a variety of additional Entertainment Department and Bar activities per the discretion of the Entertainment and Bar Managers. As an Entertainment Department employee, your interpersonal skillset will mimic that of the Adult Activities Leaders. You will be independent, self-sufficient, responsible, and have impeccable guest relations skills. You will be confident, assertive, encouraging, enthusiastic, and able to effectively and genuinely get along with our various generations of adult guests. Must be at least 21 with a valid driver’s license, be comfortable driving a variety of vehicles, and of course, be an exceptional tennis player.

Assistant Nature Guide

Prepares and leads nature activities, field trips and fishing trips for children, adults and families. Duties include: coordinating and leading various nature activities; setting up equipment for activities and making sure equipment is kept in good shape and working properly; driving pontoon boat; assisting with transportation for off-property trips; organizing and running afternoon family activities and running alternative activities in the event of rain. May also assist at the Boat Dock helping guests with kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc. and providing basic instruction. Applicant should have excellent communication and organizational skills and be outgoing, friendly, flexible and hardworking. Knowledge of Vermont flora and fauna and previous experience fishing, hiking and driving a pontoon boat (can train) is preferred. Must be at least 21 and have Valid Driver’s License (and good driving record), Vermont Boaters License (or equivalent) and a Vermont Fishing License.
