The map shows the roughly 40 acres where our buildings and facilities are clustered. The remaining 125 acres are beautiful, undeveloped woodland, meadows, pastures and trails along our mile of private lakeshore with its many birds, wildlife and private places for a family picnic or a quiet walk. Not pictured on this map are the countless trails, paths, and shortcuts through wooded areas that you and your family can explore. Please note, this map is not to scale.
To our North, you’ll find the Quebec border, and just 60 miles past it is Montreal, our favorite old-style European city. You can find tons of information, and personal recommendations from the Tyler family on happenings in Montreal, at the Front Desk. To the West is the remainder of Missisquoi Bay, and the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge. Further South, you’ll enter popular Vermont cities such as St. Albans and Burlington. These are great places to stop and visit prior to or after your stay at the Tyler Place. In St. Albans, stop by small boutiques and stores to find local crafts and wares. Further south in Burlington you’ll find the Burlington International Airport, tons of craft breweries and local eats, and plentiful shopping along the famous Church Street. Even further south are favorite stops like the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory and the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory. Last but certainly not least, to our East lies Jay Peak, excellent for hiking (& winter skiing), as well as the beautiful Northeast Kingdom if you care to add to your trip.
